Raw Carrot Cake Energy Bites




I couldn’t let this holiday go by without creating a little sweet treat. Ever since I can remember, carrot cake has been a weakness of mines. Of course, I don’t want to munching down on slices of carrot cake every day, so I came up with Carrot Cake Energy Bites with a cream cheese frosting. Myself and my football mad teen are obsessed with them and I hope that you will be too.


My recipe makes approximately 14 balls. 13.4g of carbohydrates (without frosting) and 2.8g protein. Making them an ideal pre-workout snack if tight for time or not really hungry but need to ensure body is primed for workout. Or a great post-workout snack till you can get a proper meal. Plus you get all the added benefits of essential vitamins and minerals needed by the body to support energy metabolism for performance and recovery!


Raw Carrot Cake Energy Bites with Cream Cheese Frosting 🥕 1 medium sized carrot 6 Medjool dates 5oz Raw Cashews 2oz gluten free oats Zest of one large orange 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp ground ginger 1/2 tsp nutmeg Cream Cheese Frosting 2 tbsp full fat cream cheese 1 tbsp honey 1 capful vanilla essence Place all of the carrot cake bites ingredients into a food processor and pulse till mixture becomes sticky. Use a teaspoon, take some mixture and roll into balls. Place in the fridge. Mix cream cheese frosting ingredients and dip a bite in when ready to eat. Delish!!
